Take a deep breath before the deep dive. A Lunar Eclipse in Pisces takes to the September skies and invites us into the current of the zodiac’s last water sign. Once we remember to follow the practical, simple, always effective advice of Virgo (like take a depth breath because I meant it both literally and metaphorically) we can begin swimming in the flow of Pisces. Every single time I have to write about Pisces it’s quite the creative challenge. Because unlike Virgo, Pisces cannot usually be put into neat little words.

“The best things cannot be told.” It shouldn’t be overlooked that an esteemed linguist believed that the best things were beyond the limits of his work. Those 'best things,' I think, are Pisces-ruled things. Take love for instance. The very best of the best things. Haven’t poets, musicians, scientists, theologians and storytellers wrestled with the words of love since the beginning of time? Can love be told? Not quite. Can Pisces be expressed? No. It can only be experienced. I think of Pisces when I’m trying to fall asleep but can’t. The more I think of sleep, the less likely it is I’ll fall asleep. So the very best I’ve ever come to the words of Pisces is the idea that Pisces can only be experienced not expressed. Just like love and all the best things. Speaking of relationships, Jupiter in Cancer squares Mars in Libra, and this Eclipse brings the tensions of managing emotions as a paradox in relationships. It’s permissible to need both space and connection, novelty and familiarity, privacy and self-disclosure. Those aren’t problems but paradoxes, right? And they may need few words but more so just normalizing the experience. In a bigger space, Pluto in Aquarius trine Uranus in Gemini reminds us that small moments of clarity can create generational change. The future comes from our willingness to shift in real time and update the way we connect.

The distinction between expression and experience is one of the biggest challenges the spiritual industry faces. Because it’s one thing to believe in a loving God, know the scripture by heart, but to truly experience a loving higher power is something else. While there’s a time and place for Virgo words, there’s an equally needed time and place to throw the words out the porthole window, climb through and just dive into the waters of the experience. "The ego will demand many answers that this course does not give." It does not recognize as questions the mere form of a question to which an answer is impossible. The ego may ask, "How did the impossible occur?", "To what did the impossible happen?", and may ask this in many forms. Yet there is no answer; only an experience. Seek only this, and move toward the experience only this Lunar Eclipse in Pisces.
