This time of year is pure magic.
The spring is a symbol of fertility and new beginnings, bringing the momentous energy we need to start the astrological new year with a clean slate. Before I tell you why it's the perfect time to look to the cosmos, set fresh intentions and embrace the abundant potentials brought on by this season, you're probably wondering, "Didn’t we celebrate the new year on Dec. 31?"
If you're referring to the Gregorian calendar year, the answer is yes. However, as a spiritual coach, manifestation strategist, astrologer and tarot channeler, I believe the real cosmic reset occurs with the arrival of the spring equinox. This is when the sun enters Aries — the first sign of the zodiac — which marks the beginning of its journey through the astrological wheel.
A Cardinal sign, Aries is the first spark of life after a long, dark winter, equivalent to lighting a match in a dark room. It ignites and propels us into action and renewal. More importantly, I can't emphasize the power of intention enough. As we embrace the renewal of spring and the astrological new year, this time offers the ultimate reset. With every seasonal shift and celestial energy available to us, there is profound growth and magic waiting to be harnessed.
The last Solar Eclipse we’ll have in Aries until 2032 arrives on March 29. This is the third and final Solar Eclipse in Aries from a series that began on April 19, 2023, and returned on April 8, 2024. So review those seasons in your life and consider what they were teaching you about desire, life force, and the bravery needed to begin again. Aries is also a differentiator. It wants to put needed distance between you and others who perhaps are relying on you to be that version from the past. What would it take for you to put some bound(Aries) in place between that version and the person you’re becoming? And of course, what bound(Aries) are needed between you and the people who are relying on you to stay the same?
This 2025, the astrological new year falls on March 20, and the cosmos is buzzing with excitement.
